A Bit About Green Glass
Based in Nelson, British Columbia, I provide virtual counselling services to clients throughout BC. I believe that healing and self-discovery are best supported within a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental space. Together, we can explore your inner world, make sense of difficult emotions, and build the insight and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges.

🌿 Welcome
Hi! I'm Jessica Atnikov (she/her), founder and therapist at Green Glass Counselling & Art Therapy.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Art Therapist with over five years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through challenges such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, grief, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you can better understand yourself, navigate life's challenges, and move toward meaningful change.
As both a counsellor and art therapist, I integrate evidence-based approaches with experiential and creative therapies. I believe healing happens through developing a deeper understanding of ourselves, our emotions, and the patterns that shape our lives.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy watercolour painting, spending time in nature, travelling, and taking long walks. I'm also a devoted cat mom and someone who values creativity, curiosity, and meaning-making. I appreciate mystery, imagination, and the many layers of the human experience—qualities that continue to shape both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
I know how overwhelming it can feel to carry difficult emotions, navigate uncertainty, or feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. My intention is to walk alongside you as you build greater self-understanding, resilience, and connection to yourself and others.
My Background & Approach
I create a safe, supportive space where you can explore, express, and work through your experiences at your own pace, using a blend of therapeutic and creative approaches.
Client Centered
I prioritize a warm, grounded, and non judgmental environment where clients set the pace. Her work begins with building safety, clarity, and trust so clients feel supported in expressing themselves openly.
Integrative Therapy
I blend clinical counselling with expressive and somatic approaches, drawing from mindfulness based techniques, parts informed work, attachment theory, and art therapy. Each session is tailored to fit you.
Trauma Informed
Offering options to talk, create, or combine both. My sessions remain regulated and accessible, while creative processes offer additional pathways for insight, emotional regulation, and self discovery.
Who I Work With
Youth and Adults
I support clients across various life stages who are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, emotional regulation challenges, school or work stress, and periods of personal growth. Whether you are facing a specific concern or simply looking for a space to talk, reflect, and feel supported, therapy can offer an opportunity to better understand yourself and your experiences.
Creative and Sensitive Individuals
I work with clients struggling with perfectionism, self-doubt, creative blocks, and feelings that are difficult to express in words alone. My goal is to offer a compassionate space to slow down, explore your inner experience, and discover new ways of understanding yourself.
Inclusive and Welcoming
I welcome neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ individuals, students, young adults, and anyone looking for a therapeutic space grounded in compassion, flexibility, and collaboration.
